The Coffee Trojans lost to the Clinch County Panthers back in January, but the Coffee Trojans didn't allow the Clinch County Panthers the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Coffee blew past the Panthers 60-40. The win made it back-to-back wins for Coffee.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coffee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marquavious Bussey, who scored 20 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Junitho Benson, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Coffee's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Clinch County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coffee won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Irwin County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52 points per game this season. As for Clinch County, they will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
