The Weldon Valley Warriors will square off against the Bethune Bobcats at 12:30  p.m.  on Monday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  match.

Weldon Valley's  defeat came about despite a quality game from  Annie Onufrak, who  dropped  a double-double with 15  points and 13  rebounds. The  game was  Onufrak's third in a row with at least 15  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ellie Koch, who  posted seven points and eight  boards.
 Even though they lost, Weldon Valley  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 16  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 12  offensive boards in 11 consecutive  contests.
Meanwhile, Bethune was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight  loss. They had to suffer through  a    48-16 loss at the hands of Kit Carson. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  28-8.
 Paulina Reyes was Bethune's leading scorer, having posted six  points.   Jamie Strobel held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.
 Weldon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Bethune, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest:  Weldon Valley has been crashing the boards this season,  having  averaged 38.2  rebounds per game. However, it's not like Bethune struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 32.4  boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
 Weldon Valley strolled past Bethune in their previous matchup  back in February of 2024 by a score of  49-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Weldon Valley since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
