Moffat County was the  55-51 winner over Grand Valley when they last played one another  back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Moffat County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Trayson Carlson, who  posted 12  points and seven  steals. The dominant performance gave  Carlson a new career-high in  steals. Another player making a difference was  Kenyen Camilletti, who  earned 12 points and three  steals.
 Even though they lost, Moffat County was working as a unit and  finished the game with ten  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grand Valley only racked up four  assists.
 It was another big night for  Daniel Gronewoller, who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 13  boards for Grand Valley. The team also got some help courtesy of  Porter Ostermiller, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and nine  rebounds.
Moffat County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Grand Valley, they moved to 2-7 with that  win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moffat County will take on Basalt at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Grand Valley, they will venture away from home to  square off against Meeker  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Grand Valley is facing Meeker at the right time seeing as Meeker is stuck on  a  six-game losing streak.
