Given Venus' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while Stephenville is ranked 625th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Diamond Hill-Jarvis has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Venus, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
