The Grove City Greyhounds scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Groveport-Madison 65-44. That 65-44 margin sets a new team best for Grove City this season.
Kraig Gilbert continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Gallagher, who scored 12 points.
Grove City pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Groveport-Madison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Grove City will be home for the holidays to greet Hilliard Darby at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Groveport-Madison won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Canal Winchester at 4:30 p.m. on December 16th.
