Liberty has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Liberty didn't get the result they wanted in their first match with Pittsburg on Friday. They will be looking for a result a little better than the 2-0 defeat they were dealt on Friday when they meet later in the season. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Heritage sidestepped Freedom for a 2-1 victory. The victory was just what Heritage needed coming off of a 3-0 loss in their prior game.
Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 3-3-2. As for Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-8-1 record this season.
Everything went Liberty's way against Heritage in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Liberty made off with a 4-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
