Saddleback was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They lost  39-18 to the Santa Ana Valley Falcons. That makes it the first time this season the Roadrunners have let down their home crowd.
 Santa Ana Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jayleen Roldan, who  posted 19 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which  Roldan has scored at least a third of Santa Ana Valley's points.  Jocelyn Guadalupe was another key player,  scoring 12 points.
 Saddleback's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Santa Ana Valley, their victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-5.
 Saddleback will square off against Ramona at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Santa Ana Valley, they and Valencia will face off  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Valencia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
