Lodi won the last time they faced Columbus and Fayth Hesselberg did her part to make sure it happened again. The Blue Devils walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cardinals on Tuesday for which the team can thank Hesselberg, who had 28 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

The win didn't come easy: Columbus scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-19, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Columbus still got an impressive performance from Gwen Kalafut, who had 15 digs and two aces.

Lodi's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-12. As for Columbus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Lodi will take on Sturgeon Bay in a tournament on Saturday. As for Columbus, after both having extra time off, they and Lake Mills will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
