The Great Falls Red Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They strolled past Buford with points to spare, taking the game 71-55. Given Great Falls' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Buford is ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Buford lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aaron Morris. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Gage McManus was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds.
Great Falls pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Buford, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Great Falls will be home for the holidays to greet North Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buford won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Parkwood at 8:00 p.m. on December 19th.
