Given Monroe County's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Campbellsville is ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Campbellsville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Deondre Weathers. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Keondre Weathers, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Monroe County's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Campbellsville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
