The Bethany Christian Bruins waltzed into their contest  Thursday with two straight wins  but they left with three. They came out on top against South Bend Career Academy by a score of  59-51. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bethany Christian also won the last time the pair played  back in January of 2023.
 Bethany Christian was led to victory by  Jacoby Reinhardt and  Tyson Chupp.  Reinhardt  scored 13 points along with nine  assists and eight  rebounds, while  Chupp  scored 25 points. Those nine  assists set a new season-high mark for him.  Jayden Schlabach was another key contributor,  scoring eight points.
 Bethany Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for South Bend Career Academy, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-9.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethany Christian will  square off against Prairie Heights at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Prairie Heights is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home. As for South Bend Career Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Mishawaka Marian at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Mishawaka Marian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Bend Career Academy in Indiana (Mishawaka Marian is ranked 134th, while South Bend Career Academy is ranked 386th).
