Baseball Recap: Central Valley Has No Trouble Against Johansen

Central Valley owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Johansen Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Chris Garcia was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Caden Mendonca was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Garcia wasn't the only one making solid contact: Central Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Central Valley's record is now 12-7. As for Johansen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10-1.
