Wynne hadn't done well against Batesville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Wynne Yellowjackets walked away with a 9-6 win over the Batesville Pioneers. For the Yellowjackets, this counts as revenge for the 9-4 victory the Pioneers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Wynne and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Wynne will head out on the road to take on Marion at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Batesville, they will host Walnut Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Walnut Ridge's pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so Batesville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
