Belle Fourche is on a three-game streak of home losses, Redfield a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Belle Fourche Broncs will take on the Redfield Pheasants at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Belle Fourche had to suffer through a rough 81-28 loss at the hands of Rapid City Christian. While losing is never fun, Belle Fourche can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Rapid City Christian is ranked seventh).
Carter McKenna was Belle Fourche's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Meanwhile, Redfield took a serious blow against Groton on Thursday, falling 66-22. Redfield has not had much luck with Groton recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Belle Fourche has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Redfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
Belle Fourche skirted past Redfield 57-54 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Does Belle Fourche have another victory up their sleeve, or will Redfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
