The Springfield Spartans lost against the Streetsboro Rockets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Springfield was outmatched by Streetsboro on the road and fell 59-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Springfield has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Springfield still got an impressive performance from Sydney Hillyard, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Hillyard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.
Springfield's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-6. As for Streetsboro, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Springfield won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Crestwood at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. Crestwood will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Streetsboro, they will head out on the road to face off against Coventry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coventry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 739th, while Streetsboro is ranked 64th).
