North Yarmouth Academy entered their  contest against Gray-New Gloucester  on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panthers fell  3-1 to the Patriots.  Despite the  loss, North Yarmouth Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Selena Nguyen  had 13  digs and two  aces. Nguyen has been hot, having  posted two or more  aces the last seven times she's  played.  Vivien Fahlgren also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
North Yarmouth Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Gray-New Gloucester, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-4.
 Looking ahead, North Yarmouth Academy will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Portland  at 6:00  p.m. As for Gray-New Gloucester, after both having extra time off, they and Wells will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
