This season hasn't been kind to the Grace Christian Lions, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They were dealt a 67-13 loss at the hands of Lake Pointe Academy on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Grace Christian has scored all season.
Lake Pointe Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Mayhall out in front who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mayhall has scored all season. Joshua Luke was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Grace Christian's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Lake Pointe Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will face off against Northside Christian School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Pointe Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hampton Park Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hampton Park Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Lake Pointe Academy likes a good challenge.
