Baseball Game Preview: Los Alamitos Griffins vs. Huntington Beach Oilers

For the second straight game, Los Alamitos will face off against Huntington Beach. The Griffins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Oilers at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Los Alamitos has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Los Alamitos fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Huntington Beach on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Oilers by a score of 3-2.

TRISTIN DALZELL was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Los Alamitos saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was TYLER SMITH, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. CRUZ D'ERRICO also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
