Mary Persons didn't even let Upson-Lee onto the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Mary Persons, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Duke Watson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Watson has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last eight times he's played.
Mary Persons' win was their third straight on the road , which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points per game. As for Upson-Lee, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.
Mary Persons will head out on the road to face off against Pike County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pike County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
