Basketball Recap: The Meadows School Beats Sports Leadership & Management for Their Sixth Straight Win

The Meadows School came tearing into Wednesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls with points to spare, taking the game 72-56. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 82-53 back in December of 2024.

The Meadows School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Uzo Nwapa, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. The game was Nwapa's third in a row with at least ten points. Ethan Fink was another key player, going 7 for 13 on his way to 19 points and five assists.

The Meadows School was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sports Leadership & Management only posted four assists.

Despite the loss, Sports Leadership & Management had strong showings from Damien Nevil, who posted 18 points and four steals, and Alaijah Young, who scored 23 points and seven boards. Those 18 points gave Nevil a new career-high.

The Meadows School is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will face off against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sports Leadership & Management is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.
