It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They managed a 52-47 win over West-Oak. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Calhoun Falls Charter also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, West-Oak still got an impressive performance from Lucas Towe, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Winegard, who scored ten points.
Calhoun Falls Charter has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for West-Oak, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Calhoun Falls Charter and Dixie will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Dixie will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for West-Oak, they will head out on the road to face off against Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pendleton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
