The Hubbard Greyhounds will head out to  take on the Morgan Park Mustangs  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Hubbard will bounce into Monday's   matchup after  beating Curie, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Greyhounds came out on top in a nail-biter against the Condors on Tuesday, sneaking past  2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
 Hubbard had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 27-25,  25-11.

Hubbard's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Debora Lopez, who  had 15  digs and six  aces, and   Madeline Morales, who  had 22  digs and two  aces. That's the most  aces  Lopez has posted since back in September of 2024.
 They weren't the only good servers: Hubbard  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 16  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least six  aces every time they've taken the court this season.
 Meanwhile, Morgan Park posted their closest  win since September 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Back of the Yards College Prep  2-1.
 Hubbard's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Morgan Park, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-4.
 Hubbard beat Morgan Park 2-0  in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023. Will the Greyhounds repeat their success,  or do  the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
