The South Cobb Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Campbell Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Cobb has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Thursday, South Cobb made easy work of Osborne and carried off a 19-11 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Janiya Fields and Kennedi Williams were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Fields struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Williams tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts Fields has posted since back in August. At the plate, Fields got on base in two of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Williams went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, South Cobb let Gabby Kitchens and Olivia McDonald run wild. Kitchens fired off six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs while going 4-for-5, while McDonald fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave McDonald a new career-high. Jada Emenalo was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.
South Cobb always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They are 6-3 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Campbell, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Kennesaw Mountain by a score of 7-4 on Monday.
Evelyn Herrington spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Harper MacDonald was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Bracci, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
South Cobb's record is now 7-15. As for Campbell, their record now sits at 10-13.
South Cobb's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Campbell, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will South Cobb continue to outrun the ball?
South Cobb might still be hurting after the 22-3 loss they got from Campbell when the teams last played back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
