They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grand Ledge Comets. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
Vicksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Grand Ledge, the  win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-3.
 Coming up, Vicksburg will challenge Paw Paw at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Red Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8  runs per game  this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grand Ledge, they will welcome Okemos  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
