The Appling County Pirates lost against the Pierce County Bears back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. Appling County fell  48-36 to Pierce County. Appling County has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Despite the  loss, Appling County saw an underclassman step up:  Shamiah Barnum  scored ten points along with five  steals.  Ke?niyah White was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points.
 Appling County has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record  this season. As for Pierce County,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 14-9.
 Appling County will be playing in front of their home fans against Vidalia at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Vidalia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Pierce County, they will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Toombs County at 6:00  p.m.
