There's no place like home for the Liberty Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Dougherty Valley 51-31. That 51-31 margin sets a new team best for Liberty this season.
Leading Liberty to victory were Shyanne Smith and Madison Perea. Smith scored 20 points along with six rebounds and six steals, while Perea scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Lea Salinas beamen, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Dougherty Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Liberty will be home for the holidays to greet Amador Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Amador Valley is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
