Baseball Recap: Lincoln Has No Trouble Against Fayetteville

Lincoln barely beat Fayetteville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went the Lincoln Golden Bears' way against the Fayetteville Wolves on Saturday as the Lincoln Golden Bears made off with a 15-1 win. Considering the Golden Bears have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Lincoln's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 runs over those games. As for Fayetteville, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record.

Coincidentally, Lincoln and Fayetteville will both be playing Ashville the next time they take the field. Lincoln will host Ashville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Fayetteville will play them later in the day, at TBD.
