East Lake posted their biggest victory since December 28, 2024 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Tarpon Springs Spongers as the East Lake Eagles made off with a 51-25 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.

Among those leading the charge was Amanda Egipciaco, who made all 6 shots she took to post 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierra Pitts, who posted 11 points.

Tarpon Springs' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tula Diamantaras, who had eight points and 12 rebounds, and Madisyn Trent, who earned nine points. The dominant performance gave Trent a new career-high in points.

East Lake's victory ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Tarpon Springs, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12.

East Lake has already played their next contest (against Anclote), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tarpon Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-22 loss against Palm Harbor University on the 31st.
