After only ten points in their last game, Silverdale Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against Webb on Friday. The Seahawks simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Spartans 62-16. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Seahawks just coasted through the last quarter.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Decoda Davenport and Jackson Deitch. Davenport rushed for 123 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries while Deitch rushed for 99 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries. The dominant performance also gave Deitch a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Boone Perry was another key player, picking up 43 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Silverdale Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Webb only rushed for 27 rushing yards.
Webb's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gregory Tate III, who picked up 94 receiving yards and one touchdown, and Gage Porter, who threw for 157 yards and one TD.
Silverdale Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Webb, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
