Ryan hasn't had much luck against Richland recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Ryan Raiders will square off against the Richland Royals at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Ryan 2.9, Richland 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Ryan is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs last Thursday, they were much more limited against Birdville on Friday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 8-1. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Olivia Buettner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richland). Everything went their way against Denton on Friday as Richland made off with a 20-7 victory. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won nine in a row.
Stacy Jennings made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Jennings was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two triples and four RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Richland got a massive performance out of Sam Aguilar, who scored five runs and stole Six bases. while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance gave Aguilar a new career-high in runs. Chauncey Guerrero was another key player, scoring six runs while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances.
Richland's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Ryan, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ryan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Richland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Ryan might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Richland when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can Ryan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
