The Davenport Wolves will square off against the United South Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Davenport comes in on six and United South on three.
Davenport is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Gonzales 19-1 two weeks ago. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The team relied heavily on Travis Kost, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Diego Sanchez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Davenport always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Uvalde typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday United South proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) with a sharp 13-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Ivan Saenz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Oscar Rodriguez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Juan P Briseno, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Davenport's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for United South, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.
