Basketball Recap: Lee Central Takes a Loss

If Lee Central was riding high fresh off their 60-38 takedown of Midlands STEM Charter last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lee Central Stallions took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the C.A. Johnson Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-46 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Lee Central lost on Wednesday, don't look at Omari Rampasard. Despite the final result, he posted ten points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Rampasard has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Jaquarius Davis was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 10 points and five assists.

Lee Central now has a losing record of 12-13. As for C.A. Johnson, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Lee Central will be playing at home against Lamar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for C.A. Johnson, they will head out to face off against Midlands STEM Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. C.A. Johnson has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 212 points over their last three games.
