The Seton Catholic Cougars will square off against the Skyview Storm at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Seton Catholic will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Friday, Seton Catholic got the win against Ridgefield by a conclusive 8-2. Considering the Cougars have won three matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Kolten Gesser spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Seton Catholic got a massive performance out of Ryker Ruelas, who scored a run while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Ruelas a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Teddy Wieczorek, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Skyview was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of Kelso by a score of 2-1.
Skyview saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lono Williams, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Emmett Stein also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Seton Catholic pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Skyview, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Skyview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Seton Catholic has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .465. It's a different story for Skyview, though, as they've only averaged .292. Will they be able to contain Seton Catholic's hitters?
Seton Catholic suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Skyview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
