Lake Nona had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Horizon Hawks with a sharp  28-3 victory on Friday. The score was close at the half, but the Lions pulled away in the second half with 28  points.

 Michael Dove rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
 This is the second loss in a row for Horizon and  nudges their season record down to 0-2.
 Lake Nona will take on Ocoee at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Horizon, they will square off against Wekiva at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hopefully Horizon focused on turnovers this week  as team gave up five on Friday.
