Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Alpine

Alpine came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Presidio Blue Devils 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bucks also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Alpine's got stronger as the match went on, holding Presidio to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-22, 25-13.

Alpine was led to victory by Naida Morris and Karolina Castillo. Morris had 33 assists and ten digs, while Castillo had 19 digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Morris a new career-high in kills (three). Another player making a difference was Zariah Galvan, who had 12 digs and two assists.

Alpine's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Presidio, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alpine is set to take on their familiar foe Anthony at 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Presidio will face off against rival Kermit at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
