Softball Recap: King Has No Trouble Against Channelview

While King put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Channelview. King put the hurt on Channelview with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

King is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. Channelview's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King will venture away from home to challenge Alvin at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Channelview, they will head out to face off against Summer Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Summer Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Channelview's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
