North Carolina high school basketball state playoff brackets

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) unveiled brackets and schedules for the 2025 basketball state playoffs Sunday. Championship games for all four classes on the boys and girls side will be held March 14-15 at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem.

MaxPreps Top 25 No. 18 Reidsville enters postseason play riding a 54-game win streak that dates back to the start of last season as the Rams look to make a run to their third consecutive Class 2A state championship game.

Reidsville has compiled a record of 80-1 over the past three seasons with its only loss coming in the state title game in 2023. Junior guard Dionte Neal, senior guard Johnniyus Sharpe and four-star Oregon commit Kendre Harrison lead the way.

On the girls side, Adelaide Jernigan and Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville) look for their third Class 1A state title in four seasons. The Vandals are 23-2 behind Jernigan, a North Carolina State commit who is averaging 27.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while recently topping the 2,000-point plateau for her career.
