The Purdue Polytechnic Techies will challenge the Indianapolis Arsenal Technical Titans at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Purdue Polytechnic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.8  points per game  this season.
Last Saturday, Purdue Polytechnic was beaten by Lafayette Jefferson 83-49. While losing is never fun, the Techies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 142nd, while the Bronchos are ranked 30th).

 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Damion Green, who  went 5 of 11  on his way to 15  points and four  blocks. He has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  blocks the last three times he's  played.  James Long Jr. was another key player,  going 5 for 8  en route to 13 points.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis Arsenal Technical was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. The  contest between them and Warren Central didn't end well, with Indianapolis Arsenal Technical falling  63-49.
 Purdue Polytechnic will have to keep a close watch on  James Townsend and  Bles'Sed Thomas, a pair of players who had a big impact on Indianapolis Arsenal Technical's prior game. Townsend  went 7 of 12  on his way to 14  points and five  boards, while  Thomas  posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Dj Baker, who  earned five  points.
 Purdue Polytechnic's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-8. As for Indianapolis Arsenal Technical, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest:  Purdue Polytechnic has been smashing the glass this season,  having  averaged 26.4  rebounds per game. However, it's not like Indianapolis Arsenal Technical struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 22.6  boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
 Purdue Polytechnic came up short against Indianapolis Arsenal Technical when the teams last played  back in February of 2024, falling  69-59.
