Basketball Recap: Maycee Randall and Madison Stevens Secure Win for Mt. Carmel

Mt. Carmel won the last time they faced Robinson and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces' way against the Robinson Maroons as the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces made off with a 42-18 win. The Golden Aces have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 23 points or more this season.

Mt. Carmel was led to victory by Madison Stevens and Maycee Randall. Stevens went 7 for 9 en route to 21 points and seven boards, while Randall went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points and eight rebounds. Those 21 points gave Stevens a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Hershey, who posted five points in addition to five assists and five boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Mt. Carmel and bumps their season record up to 17-4. As for Robinson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

When Mt. Carmel and Robinson next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Mt. Carmel will try to stop Newton's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Robinson will challenge Paris and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
