When it comes to explaining why Northwestern lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mason Mitchell. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. Jaylan Moore was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Indian Land's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sincere Rasul, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Rasul's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sequel Patterson, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Northwestern bumped their record down to 9-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Indian Land, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Northwestern is on the road again on Tuesday and play against York at 7:45 p.m. on January 16th. As for Indian Land, they will take on East Rutherford at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
