It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Westminster Christian Warriors can now relate to. They were outmatched by True North Classical Academy on the road and fell 48-16. While losing is never fun, Westminster Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 326th, while True North Classical Academy is ranked 114th).
Westminster Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Jarvis Johnson, who rushed for 172 yards while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Jason Barket Jr was another key contributor, throwing for 186 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead True North Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zachary "Zac" Katz, who threw for 357 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85% of his passes. Katz hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Joshua Reyes also helped out as he racked up 125 receiving yards.
Westminster Christian now has a losing record at 5-6. As for True North Classical Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Westminster Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. True North Classical Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Archbishop Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on November 24th. Archbishop Carroll is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
