Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 54-13 blowout they got on the road against Towers. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Landmark Christian has managed all season.
Landmark Christian was led to victory by Amara Knowles and Melody Painter. Knowles scored 16 points along with three steals, while Painter scored 16 points along with seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Painter has scored at least 25% of Landmark Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Nikolette Soden, who scored seven points.
Landmark Christian's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Towers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Landmark Christian and McNair will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
