South Pemiscot is on a three-game streak of home losses, and New Madrid County Central a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The South Pemiscot Bulldogs will be playing at home against the New Madrid County Central Eagles at 4:30 p.m. South Pemiscot will be strutting in after a win while New Madrid County Central will be coming in after a defeat.
South Pemiscot is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Hayti get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won seven in a row.
Logan Southern was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Southern was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Parker Carlisle was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zeke Floyd, who went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
South Pemiscot always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, New Madrid County Central fell victim to Oak Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Blue Jays.
South Pemiscot picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-10. As for New Madrid County Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
South Pemiscot was able to grind out a solid win over New Madrid County Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, winning 9-4. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
