Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Waccamaw

Waccamaw had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Connor Hart did his part to make it six on Thursday. The stars were shining brightly for the Waccamaw Warriors in a 72-57 win over the South Brunswick Cougars thanks in part to Hart, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points and three steals. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

The team also got some help courtesy of Wade Leventis, who posted nine points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Waccamaw now has a winning record of 5-4. As for South Brunswick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Waccamaw and Ragin Prep Christian Academy will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Waccamaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. As for South Brunswick, they and Mullins will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Mullins knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully South Brunswick likes a good challenge.
