The Weston Ranch Cougars entered their tilt with the Stagg Delta Kings with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. Weston Ranch breezed by Stagg at home to the tune of 107-37. Weston Ranch has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 27 points or more this season.
Weston Ranch had a senior duo take command as Izaias White dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds and Mateen Rafiq scored 24 points along with five assists and four steals. Rafiq is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrion Lilly, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Weston Ranch pushed their record up to 20-3 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 90.9 points per game. As for Stagg, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.
Weston Ranch will head out on the road to square off against McNair at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. McNair will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 940th, while Weston Ranch is ranked 65th). As for Stagg, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bear Creek at 7:30 p.m.
