The Ridgeland-Hardeeville Jaguars came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down Barnwell 55-38 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ridgeland-Hardeeville also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the loss, Barnwell had strong showings from Kaylen Mayes, who scored 16 points, and J'Niyia Carree, who scored 15 points. That was a full 42.1% of Barnwell's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Barnwell, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Barnwell will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Woodland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
