Gaynor was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double. He is becoming a predictor of Steel Valley's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 2-1 (and 4-5 when he doesn't).
Steel Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for South Park, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Steel Valley will square off against Sewickley Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Steel Valley is facing Sewickley Academy at the right time seeing as Sewickley Academy is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for South Park, they will head out on the road to  take on  Burgettstown  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3  runs per game  this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
