Iota came tearing into  Friday's  game with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Welsh Greyhounds 12-1. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Iota got a great performance from  Saige Cherry as she  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and only one walk). Cherry has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Iota let  Ainsley Manuel and  Chloe Darbonne run wild. Manuel  went 2-for-3 with five  RBI, one  run,  and one  double, while  Darbonne  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most  runs  Darbonne has posted since back in February of 2024.  Chloe Bordelon was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Iota was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .300 or higher in five consecutive  matchups.
Iota's record now sits at 21-3. As for Welsh, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iota will host Rosepine  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Welsh, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Basile  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
