Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newberry). They really took it to the Swansea Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-39 win. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 69-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Donnell Goodwin, who posted ten points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. The dominant performance gave Goodwin a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyshawn Jamison, who earned 23 points and three steals.

Newberry's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Swansea, their loss was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15.
