Jett Thomalla Tops All Others This Week
 Starting off the list is Millard South's  Jett Thomalla, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Thomalla threw for 383 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
 The  victory was  the fifth in a row for Millard South, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Thomalla and Millard South will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Lincoln High  at 7:00  p.m.

Cash Buettenback Turns in Season-Best  Performance
  Cash Buettenback produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Lincoln Southeast to the win  on Friday. Buettenback rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. The  effort  marked the most  rushing yards  he has had since back in September of 2023. He has become a key player for Lincoln Southeast: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
 On the year,  Buettenback  has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 98.8 rushing yards per game. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he was only averaging 41.17  rushing yards per game.

Jake Kinkaid Turns in Another Game with at Least Five  Total Tackles
  Jake Kinkaid continued his hot streak  on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with  at least five  total tackles. He picked up  three  sacks, forced two fumbles,  and made six total tackles (3.5 for loss).
 This year,  Kinkaid  has averaged 4.7 total tackles per game  and for the season has 5 sacks. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he was only averaging 1.17  total tackles per game.

A Season-Best  Effort from  Chase Loftin Leads Millard South over Papillion-Lavista
 On Friday, Millard South got the W thanks in part to  Chase Loftin playing the best football he has all season. Loftin picked up 114 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
 On the year,  Loftin  has caught 7 touchdowns while averaging 86 receiving yards per game.

Isaac Jensen Delivers Best  Performance of Season
 On Friday, Millard South got the W thanks in part to  Isaac Jensen playing the best football he has all season. Jensen picked up 141 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 For the year,  Jensen  has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 82.4 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season,  he was only averaging 29.2  receiving yards per game.
